Hi Folks, Today's featured wine is almost too good to be true... Its not everyday that we get access to a 15 year old Multi-Gold Medal Winning Spanish Tempranillo from one of the top Spanish winemaker's Alejandro Fernandez!  Alejandro is one of the biggest inspirations behind the rebirth of Spanish Tempranillo over the last 25 years. He only releases his Reds in optimum years and that is exactly what we have today! The Alejandro Fernandez Dehesa La Granja Tempranillo 2007 is aged 24 months in Barrel and than close to 6 years in bottle before release. With 15 years of age its very silky, impeccably balanced and elegant. Its highlighted by lush notes of ripe blackberries, vanilla, tobacco, mint, licorice with nice savouriness as well. Its a superb Tempranillo and is only $35.95 (a great steal!)  If you still need a little more incentive than it is hard to ignore the stirring words of appreciation coming from the local and international wine scribes most notably Gourmet Traveller Wine Guide who described it in hush tones ''Extraordinary depth of flavour.
