Bigi Orvieto Secco Classico 2020

''Umbria is potentially the most interesting region in Central Italy and has changed the most in recent years. For long the region's most famous wine is from Orvieto. Bigi's is better than most.'' Jancis Robinson

''Today what Orvieto is known for is its dry white's. Although these can be refreshing on their own, where they truly shine is when paired with food. The whites of Orvieto are blends comprised of local varietials such as the deep and weighty Grechetto and the light and minerally Procanico along with other native varieties such as Drupeggio and Malvasia. The result is a soft, deep white wine with notes of almonds and chamomile which is brightened up with hints of crisp golden apple.'' Keith Beavers, Vinepair.com

This classic dry white wine is blended from 5 different grape varieties which combine to produce a fresh, smooth and easy drinking white wine. Made from a blend of Procanico, Grechetto, Verdello, Malvasia and Drupeggio, Dry and full-bodied on the palate, Bigi Orvieto Classico has a lively flavour with a unique aftertaste of white peaches and almonds.  Very fresh and with a fruit-forward bouquet. The palate shows delicate fruit, peaches with a touch of nuttiness. The wine is smooth and well-rounded, with a long gentle finish.
