Made by Italy's Winemaker of The Year (Gambero Rosso Guide 2016) ''A soft, fruity red with plum, walnut and lemon-rind character. Medium to full body and creamy tannins. Shows richness with tension. Drink in 2021 and onwards.'' 93 Point's, James Suckling
It comes with great excitement that we introduce you to our first offering from the stunning 2017 vintage from Barbaresco, Piedmont. When it comes to Red wines from Piedmont, Barbaresco is a reference point, the Queen of Italian wines, made from its most important varietal Nebbiolo. The Barbaresco that we feature today is made by Gambero Rosso Guide's Italian Winemaker of the Year for 2016: Giulio Grasso. (that's no mean feat).
Giulio Grasso's 2017 Ca' Del Baio 'Autinbej' Barbaresco is one of the most acclaimed Italian Red wines we've seen in a very long time; pretty much anyone who's a serious authority on Piedmontese Red's adores this wine and more importantly its 2017 edition.
Made by Giulio Grasso Italy's "Viticoltore dell'anno" - Winemaker of the Year - by Italy's most recognised wine guide Gambero Rosso (2016)
“The Ca’ del Baio line-up is extremely impressive and delightful. These are some of the best wines from Barbaresco.” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate

"The 2017 Barbaresco Autinbej is a very pretty wine for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Dark red berry fruit, spice, leather, tobacco and cedar all build with time in the glass, giving the 2017 lovely textural richness and resonance. This is very nicely done." 92 Points, Vinous Media
As you can see this Barbaresco comes with a serious pedigree. its an absolute bargain, and it has many years ahead of it!
