I didn't think I'd see a sub-$50 Barbaresco again. I thought those days were gone. But, today we are offering you Carlin de Paolo Barbaresco 2019 for just $48.95. As far as I can tell, this is no other Barbaresco in Australia less than this.
I'll say it now, this is one of our discoveries of the year!
Before we go further, I'll point out this is from a 4th generation producer that has built up an international reputation for been among the best value Nebbiolo producer in Italy. Each year the world's biggest wine scribe rate this wine when tasting some of the biggest and most fancied Barbaresco producer's.
The 2019 vintage was exceptional for Barbaresco with Decanter Magazine rating it 5/5.
The 2019 is a classic' vintage of excellent quality. A little like 2013 some are saying. And wines like Carlin de Paolo Barbaresco 2019 are proof you don't need to hand over $100s to get a great example.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Barbaresco, it's gracefully referred to as the Queen of Italian wines sitting alongside the equally revered Barolo. It's produced from the Piedmontese varietal Nebbiolo from a town almost 10Kms from Barolo and like Barolo itself, its uncommon to find a Barbaresco Riserva available for less than $100 bucks;
