Grown in the commune of Volnay on the uphill side of the RN74, this delightful Bourgogne has won many fans over the last few vintages. Raised in oak, there is an expressive nose of raspberry and cherry aromas leading to fresh, racy and delicious medium-weight flavours with the raspberry notes on the palate being surprisingly pure. It's a vibrant, almost precocious young Burgundy that offers tremendous value for money.
'Céline Fontaine has been on quite a roll in the last several vintages and she is surely one of the most talented young vignerons in all of Burgundy today.' Jon Gilman, A View from the Cellar.
''This is attractively fresh with its array of airy red pinot fruit and hints of forest floor character. The sleek and utterly delicious lightweight flavors possess a slightly firmer finish. This too should drink well early on.'' Allan Meadows, Burghound.com (Previous Vintage Review)
