''This charming Kabinett opens with a nicely untamed bouquet of bright fruit aromas intertwined with pure and crunchy slate and lemon aromas. Lush and well-rounded.'' 91 Points Stephen Rheinhardt, Wine Advocate Magazine
The Thanisch family has cultivated wine continuously since the year 1636 and can look back on a history covering more than 375 years. The estate has been run as a family business for 11th generation. All of the vineyards are planted with 100% Riesling vines, most of which are mature and on original rootstocks.
''The 2021 Thanisch Riesling Kabinett opens with a pure and flinty, nicely untamed bouquet of bright fruit aromas intertwined with pure and crunchy slate and lemon aromas. Lush and round on the palate, this seemingly light yet in fact intense and charmingly fruit-driven Kabinett has fine, crystalline acidity and lush fruit rather than sweetness.'' 91 Points, Stephan Rheinhardt, Wine Advocate Magazine
''The attractive cassis, honeysuckle and white-peach nose leads you into the juicy and very crisp palate. Very clean and bright finish. The refreshment accentuated by the wet-stone minerality.'' 91 Points, James Suckling (Previous Vintage Review)
"Sweet honey and citrus aromas, lemon, lime, fresh and gorgeous, a lovely nose, a step up in ripeness. It's also had an extra year in bottle to build its bouquet and richness. A very smart wine.'' Huon Hooke (Previous Vintage Review)
''Expressive, juicy and seductive, with spice, lemon-lime and Bosc pear flavors in harmony, supported by vibrant acidity and a minerally undertow.'' Wine Spectator Magazine (Previous Vintage Review)
