A personally curated All Piedmont Reds 6 Pack with a fantastic Red each from 6 different appellations representing the diverse wines on show throughout Italy's most sacred wine growing region!
Hi Folks, This is something a little different, but exciting at the same time.... we've put together a personally curated All Piedmont Reds 6 Pack with a fantastic Red each from 6 different appellations representing the diverse wines on show throughout Italy's most sacred wine growing region! This speciality pack contains 1 x red each from the following selection:
Roberto Sarotto Barbaresco Riserva DOCG 2016 It's complex, refined and smooth, with hints of roses, violet, plum, delicate spiced cherries, liquorice and chocolate. An attractively aromatic and wonderfully precise Barbaresco with great length to the finish.
Mauro Molino Barbera d'Alba 2018 "A fruit-driven Barbera d'Alba with plums, light orange peel and hints of hazelnuts. Medium-bodied, crisp and delicious.'' 90 Points, James Suckling
Albino Rocca Dolcetto d'Alba 2019 ''Albino Rocca's Dolcetto d'Alba is drawn from a 40+ year old single vineyard. At this age, the yields are self-limiting, offering high quality fruit in most years, and something special in a year like 2019. The nose and attack are all about cherries and cranberry set against a floral background. Youthful and exuberant with pure fruit.'' 91 Points, Anthony Gismondi
Marcarini Langhe Nebbiolo 'Larsarin' 2019 Its full nose recalls flowers, raspberries and blackberries; in the mouth it is dry, balanced, velvety and enjoyably tannic, a legacy of the noble Nebbiolo grape. After a brief period of aging in the bottle, the wine becomes increasingly smooth and velvety.
Ellena Giuseppe Barolo La Morra DOCG 2017 This is highlighted by notes of ripe berry, fragrant blue flower and a hint of Alpine herbs. The generous palate offers juicy black cherry, raspberry, cinnamon and licorice alongside fine-grained tannins.
Maretti Langhe Rosso 2018 ''Spice, perfume of thyme and lavender. Medium-bodied, savoury and slightly tart cherry in flavour profile, some dried herb and floral perfume, smooth, suede-like tannin, and an earthy sort of finish of decent length.'' 90 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
