This medium-full bodied red from predominantly 77-year-old vines has lifted aromas of black cherries with hints of peppery spice and licorice, with a lovely velvety texture showing very good energy and drive with a fresh long vibrant finish. A seriously impressive release that is a clear cut above most Côtes du Rhône Vieilles Vignes Rouge and yet another example of why the Rhône Valley remains one of France’s greatest sources of value for lovers of quality French Reds.
