This brand new 3 Pack offering takes us back to the bright lights of Beaujolais Gamay with a special showcase of 3 x lovely Reds of the highest quality from a small boutique family run estate owned and run by talented Beaujolais winemaker Bernard Metrat. The Bernard Metrat winery presides over 10ha of vines, the majority of which are planted in the renowned La Roilette sector where the red granite interspersed with clay layers produce wines that are well structured, mineral and full of charm. At an elevation of around 300 metres above sea level and aged between forty and sixty years old, these prime-sited vines produce Gamay of great class, freshness and character with all 3 x wines sharing this in abundance! The wines of Bernard Metrat represent the best of Beaujolais: serious, delicious and age-worthy wines. Each one has its own personality, its own charms that are here for you to discover. Enjoy! 

Bernard Metrat La Roilette Fleurie Vieilles Vignes Gamay 2020
From vines planted 1924 and 1936. La Roilette is regarded as one of the best sites in Fleurie, and this old vines edition comes from (60-90+ years old vines). This is Gamay at its finest and beautifully perfumed best. Can age for 10+ years as well.

Rich cherry and red fruit aromas with a touch of exotic spices. Fresh full and deep palate backed by fine silky tannins. Showing beautifully already, this displays excellent freshness with bright balanced acidity as a result of its higher cooler vineyard site.

Deep perfumed aromas with hints of violet and real depth and generosity and soft rich round tannins and exotic spices finishing fresh with balancing acidity.
