Château Mont-Redon has long been one of the Rhone Valleys elite producers, but over the past decade they've poured significant time, resources and expertise into vineyards across the more accessible and approachable Côtes du Rhône appellation. The results have been remarkable. Today, they're not only one of the region's most improved producers, but arguably one of its finest value performers as well.

The brand new Château Mont-Redon Réserve Côtes du Rhône 2023 has just landed, and for under $30 it's everything you could hope for from the Southern Rhône. Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, it delivers vibrant red and dark berry fruit, subtle spice, fine-grained tannins and an impressively long, refined finish. The 2023 vintage in the Southern Rhône is widely regarded for its freshness, brighter fruit and finer tannins, making it particularly appealing at this time of year.
