Chiara Boschis Barbera d'Alba Superiore 2024

Produced from the prestigious terroirs of the Langhe, this Barbera d'Alba Superiore by Chiara Boschis expresses all the depth and modernity of this great Piedmontese grape variety. Grown on limestone and marl soils, it benefits from careful ageing in oak barrels, which lends it structure, complexity and elegance. Its intense ruby colour with purple hues is followed by a rich and harmonious nose, marked by aromas of black cherry, plum and ripe red fruits, enhanced by subtle spicy and woody notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, rich and perfectly balanced, carried by a lovely freshness characteristic of Barbera. The texture is sumptuous, with supple tannins and a lingering finish featuring hints of black fruit and spices. Aged for around 16 months in French oak barrels, this wine gains depth and complexity, whilst remaining highly drinkable.
