I can't remember the last time we featured a Vinho Verde, however long its been.. we believe the wait has truly been worth it as we have just received the brand new 2024 Double Trophy Winning release from Esporao! We rarely if ever have access to Vinho Verde during the peak Spring-pre Summer season, however you can thank your lucky stars as we do right now! But, of course, what we have today isn't just any run of the mill Vinho Verde either; in 2025 this scooped some of the biggest trophies from one of the major annual International wine competitions: International Wine Challenge; taking out the Best Portuguese White, Best Vinho Verde, Gold Medal Winning Vintage with a lovely review to match its high rating of 96 Points from the judges! For a wine that has so much acclaim, this should be at least $100+...but from just $34.99 this is arguably the best value 2024 Portuguese White available right now! 

As for me I enjoyed the delicious citrus and tropical aromas with a creamy texture that leaves a long lingering and refreshing finish. The 2024 release from Esporao is a blend of Loureiro, Alvarinho and Avesso which was hand harvested from an historic property dating back to 1710! So, if this is your first time reading about a Vinho Verde or you had the pleasure of experiencing them in Portugal, it will be very difficult to say no to this mighty effort from Esporao's Double Trophy & Gold Medal winning 2024 release!
