“No Muscadet estate is rendering consistently finer or more intriguing wines than Luneau‐Papin, and given the prices asked there is no excuse for any lover of wine not making their acquaintance.” Wine Advocate Magazine
This wine comes from a single parcel in the village of Le Landreau ('The Grange' vineyard) with a southern exposure. The Luneau family are pioneers in this regard and still amongst the only producers in Muscadet to bottle single vineyard expressions of their land.
‘'Muscadet is an exciting versatile wine especially for wine lovers who appreciate fresher, more mineral style. Muscadet has everything: complexity, terroir characteristics and age-ability.'' Decanter Magazine
''This is from old vines, meaning more than 35-years old. It has a perfumed nose, fresh and bright, brimming with white stone and white fruits, with a great minerality. The palate is just as convincing, fresh and textural, cut with fine minerals. I see great energy here, and no shortage of acidity or minerality. Great.'' 94 Points, Chris Kissack thewinedoctor.com (Previous Vintage Review)
''This offers a very nice stimulating thirst-quenching wine with good depth.'' 91 Points, Guide Vert, La Revue du Vin de France (France) (Previous Vintage Review)
Loire Valley: ‘’Vines planted in 1974 form the basis of this intense wine. It has a crisp character, full of acidity with apple and citrus flavors. The wine is bright and fresh, but with enough texture to sustain some aging.'' Wine Enthusiast Magazine (Previous Vintage Review)
“Pure and precise, with focused notes of stone, saline and white flowers, giving this a savory character. Piercing acidity brings everything to a crunchy finish.” Wine Spectator Magazine (Previous Vintage Review)
