''Aromatic, fine and slightly powerful. It reveals notes of flowers, blackberry and hints of red berries as well as an imperceptible hint of pepper, spices and a discreet hint of mocha (in the background). The palate is fruit-driven, well-balanced and offers minerality. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of ripe/fresh red berries and touches of cassis, plum, fleshy/fresh strawberry as well as notes of sweet spices, toasted oak and a very discreet hint of caramelization. Good length and persistence.'' Vertde Vin Magazine (France)
'It's true that only one Bordeaux wine made it through to our Best In Show collection this year, but that wine is a commanding one. This statuesque St Emilion Grand Cru is dark black-red in colour; aromatically, its glowing ripe black fruits both seem to be sweetened yet freshened by classy oak. The palate is expansive, amply ripe, rich and gratifying, lent complexity by flavours of smoke and earth but by firm supporting tannins, too, as well as by sweet-toned acidity. All the lineaments are there for a hugely enjoyable wine.'' 97 Points, Best Bordeaux on Show, Decanter World Wine Awards (Previous Vintage Review)
