Mauro Molino is a family-run estate based in La Morra, in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe, now run by Mauro’s children Matteo and Martina. Their Barbera d’Alba is a vibrant, approachable expression of the variety, with the 2024 showing bright cherry and red-fruit character, floral notes, fresh herbs and the lively acidity that makes Barbera such a naturally food-friendly wine.

Sourced from sandy soils in Roero, the 2024 is medium-bodied and fresh, with juicy fruit, refreshing structure and a lightly savoury, herbal-spiced finish. Jeb Dunnuck rated the 2024 vintage 89 points, highlighting its marasca cherry, crushed-flower and fresh-herb character.
