Mottura Primitivo del Salento 2023

Hi Folks, With it being the first week of Spring, we felt it fitting to revisit one of our favourite Italian wine regions Puglia with a brand new 2023 Primitivo to whet the appetite!  After an unexpected (yet very welcome) visit from the export manager of the Mottura winery earlier this year, we were able to experience first hand the quality emanating from their flagship Red with its depths of flavours, great concentration and richness which are so uniquely Puglia. And it seems we're not the only ones to be impressed with this new Puglian Red with a lot of fanfare already coming for the 2023 vintage from the wine scribes below who've gone into great detail with what to expect from this new wine at European Wine Store!

"Absolutely delicious red from the Puglia region in Italy. Gleaming dark red/crimson in colour, the nose exhibits notes of aniseed, plums, blackberries and florals. A supple and seductive texture with fine tannins, the wine has impressive length, and the intensity is maintained for the full journey.
