"Aromas of blueberries, plums and herbs with hints of leather, forest floor and spice. Medium-to full-bodied with lovely, fine tannins. Silky, balanced and delicious.'' 92 Points, James Suckling (Previous Vintage Review)
Hi Folks, Our favourite Cannonau from Sardinia is back.....with a new name and new vintage but thankfully one thing that has stayed the same is the friendly price of just $27.95! Now christened 'Centosere' meaning 100 Evenings in English, which for us wine lovers creates the imagination of 100 blissful evenings of drinking this delicious Red or is in reference to Sardinia being the home of the highest rate of centenarians per capita in the World! In recent years the Pala Cannonau di Sardegna has really made seasoned wine writers and wine publications like James Suckling, Vinous and the German speaking World's biggest wine magazine Falstaff sit up and take notice of the quality coming from picturesque Sardinia. (as the reviews below attest to;)

“This is wildly perfumed, notes of ripe strawberry giving way to peppery herbs and exotic spice. This is softly textured, enveloping the palate in cooling wild berry fruits, as purple-tinged florals amass toward the close. Round tannins frame the expression, settling in under echoes of blackberry and lavender.” Vinous Media
''Highlighted by aromas of red berry fruits, spice and rich cherries on the nose. A fleshy & juicy palate with tightly woven tannin and a clean finish.'' Falstaff Magazine,
As for me I really enjoy the ripe blackberry and red cherry fruits, along with hints of smoke, spice and cocoa, made in a medium bodied style with a long finish. At just $27.95 this is an incredible value from a multi award winning family run estate who have been Tre-Bicchieri Awarded from Gambero Rosso Guide 3 years running 2019-2021!
''Sardinia is one of Italy’s best-kept wine secrets. It has many unique, well-made wines to offer wine lovers everywhere.'' Ian D'Agata, Vinous Media
