Pépé’s Béret Chardonnay 2020

Hi Folks, Almost 4 years ago, we advertised a French Chardonnay which ended up being a smash hit - it was one of our most popular chardonnays ever and today we have the follow up release! - the Pépé’s Béret Chardonnay 2020.  Yes, it's taken 3 vintages to get back into our store, but that's how tough we are when it comes to quality.  And I tell you what, this is a step up. It's creamy, perfectly oaked, rich yet ultra smooth.  We sell a lot of European white wines for under $20, but I think this will be the one which will prove the most popular over the next few months.

What makes this chardonnay tick is the influence of differently toasted French oak.  After the fermentation, the fine yeast is stirred up periodically gaining the wine’s velvety mouthfeel. The nose has intense aromas of ripe apples, elegant bourbon vanilla and some toffee. The palate carries on these flavours in a wonderfully smooth and velvety journey.
