Schlipf Schneider ‘Von Kalkstein’ Spatburgunder Pinot Noir 2021

The Schneider's hailing from Germany's capital of top class Pinot Noir ''Baden'' run a family winery in the best sense of the word. Parents Susanne and Claus along with their sons Johannes and Christoph have developed their vineyard into one of the most renowned in Germany for quality Pinot Noir. Of course, Burgundy is the homeland of pinot noir, but consider the region where this wine comes from correspond to the conditions of Burgundy and many of the methods used in Burgundy are also used by Schlipf Schneider.  If you haven't tried German pinot noir, then you can expect something more savoury and “Burgundian”, especially compared to many Australian Pinot Noirs.  Incredible finesse, freshness and complexity. A fine scent of black cherries and wild berries accompanies this smooth wine.
