The Masso Antico Salento Fiano 2022 received a 97 Point Rating from Italy's biggest wine writer Luca Maroni, he is for all intent and purpose's Italy's equivalent of James Halliday, who releases an Italian wine guide every year to major fanfare. We've always held the view that Luca's palate aligns with the savvy wine drinker and has a good radar for quality Italian wines that offer tremendous value.. But its not just Luca Maroni who is singing the praises of the 2022 Masso Antico Salento Fiano; this was awarded a Gold Medal from France's Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge and spoken with glowing affection from the judges of the International Wine & Spirits Competition who were impressed with its attractive fruit composition and herbal notes that are a key highlight of the 2022 release. I might also add that this Italian Fiano made in a dry style features fine mineral and floral tones which are a hallmark of traditional Italian Fiano. Enjoy!
