Roberto Sarotto Barbaresco Riserva DOCG 2018

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Barbaresco, it's gracefully referred to as the Queen of Italian wines sitting alongside the equally revered Barolo. It's produced from the Piedmontese varietal Nebbiolo from a town almost 10Kms from Barolo and like Barolo itself, its uncommon to find a Barbaresco Riserva available for less than $100 bucks.  The Barbaresco Riserva from Roberto Sarotto has received a staggering 16 x Gold Medals from International wine competitions and its track record is second to none in terms of consistent quality; we have no doubt the 2018 release is no exception!

In terms of style; It's complex, refined and smooth, with hints of roses, violet, plum, delicate spiced cherries, liquorice and chocolate. An attractively aromatic and wonderfully precise Barbaresco with great length to the finish.

Its goes without saying, this Barbaresco Riserva 2018 will disappear in a flash, so if you love your Barbaresco's and you don't want to spend an extravagant amount on one; than this might be an optimum time to do it!
